Reel Housekeeping

The staff at Keeping It Reel want to thank you for your traffic! There are plenty of other ways to waste your time but for some reason you are choosing to do just that with us. I just wanted to  touch on a couple of things here that might help readers better understand what has and will go down here….

Ratings: We use the four star **** rating system in our reviews. We decided to go with even instead of odd. Growing up in the Chicago area, the reviews in the newspapers were always four stars. The addition of another star always threws me. So when I give “Avatar” three stars, that’s actually pretty good.

Archives: You may notice the reviews in the Archives section is growing. That’s cuz we’re trying to backtrack and fill up our past reviews here. We’ll be posting them close to the dates we originally reviewed them. These reviews will be un-edited (except for typos and poor grammar – heh heh), as they were when we wrote them. Yes,  we may change our minds from the time we originally saw the film but our reviews will stay as is. It’s important to us that we keep what we experienced intact.
