The Blind Side (2009) – DVD & Bluray – Sandra Bullock wrangled a Best Actress Oscar for her performance in this film about an eccentric woman from Memphis and her family taking in a poor high school student as he plays football.  Based on a true story.

Brothers (2009) – DVD & Bluray – Director Jim Sheridan works with Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal in this drama about a family greatly affected by the war in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) – DVD & Bluray – Wes Anderson returns to direct his first animation film in this stop-motion critical success.  This film is based on the award-winning novel by Roald Dahl.

The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009) – DVD &Bluray – George Clooney, Jeff Bridges, Ewan McGregor and Kevin Spacey all star in this mixed reviewed quirky comedy about soldiers in a top-secret wing of the military.

Red Cliff (2009) – DVD & Bluray – John Woo’s epic telling of a great battle that brought about the fall of the Han Dynasty in 208 A.D.  You can also get a special edition DVD or Bluray that also contain the sequel of the film, which Woo released in China last fall.
