Trailer Tuesday (07-13-10)
We at Keeping It Reel present, for your viewing pleasure, the first installment of a weekly post that will showcase a handful of new movie trailers that will get you psyched about huge films coming up, get lesser-known upcoming films on your radar, and sometimes allow all of us to laugh together at a horrible trailer or two. Some weeks will be lighter than others, but we intend on bringing you some hot trailer content every week! This week, we have several trailers that should get your noodle going. The trailers we show are completely at our discretion. We do not intend to show every trailer released in a given week… just the BEST ones! Enjoy!
The Green Hornet
Director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Science of Sleep) leads the unlikely cast of Seth Rogan, Cameron Diaz, and Christoph Waltz to adapt this comic book hero story for the big screen.
Machete
Straight from the trailer reel from the 2007 double-feature Grindhouse, Robert Rodriguez writes and directs the campy action film starring cult-favorite Danny Trejo.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Based on a comic book series, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is about a young man who, in order to date his crush, must fight for her hand by defeating all of her ex-boyfriends in combat. It will be interesting to see how the seemingly harmless Michael Cera will do in the titular role.
Piranha 3D
Though it looks like a total cheese-fest, Piranha 3D looks like it may be a super entertaining 3D event compared to all the garbage we’ve seen this summer! Don’t expect an Oscar, just get ready to enjoy yourself!
Jack Goes Boating
Phillip Seymour Hoffman stars in this Sundance 2010 selection that has achieved some pretty great reviews. Due to some turmoil at Overture, the studio releasing this film, the release date is in limbo. Let’s hope we finally get to see it!
There it is, folks! The first installment of our weekly movie trailer download known as “Trailer Tuesday”. Please let us know what you think in the comments sections!
Thanks for the head’s up. I’m especially interested in again watching P.S.H. being painfully inept (last time was Love Liza; a little bit in appearances in Next Stop, Wonderland).
