Announcement: Keeping It Reel is Now Accepting Donations!

February 8, 2011

Over the last year, David and I have had a ton of fun seeing and reviewing films for Keeping It Reel.  We saw almost 200 films in 2010, and posted 300 reviews or articles on the site!  The response so far has been great, and we have seen a lot of traffic growth and interest build around the site as the months pass.  We have no one else to thank but you, our readers!

In 2011, we have plans to expand our coverage with more film screenings, more reviews, bringing more writing talent on board, as well as the introduction of podcasts to Keeping It Reel!  While expanding our coverage is extremely exciting, it is also very expensive!

So, you’ve seen the headline of this post, so you know why I’m explaining all of this. To help offset the costs of website hosting, podcast hosting, podcasting equipment, festival screenings, and the occasional theater ticket (when we miss a pre-screening), we need your help!  With the strong response from many of our readers throughout the year, we know that many of you have really enjoyed what we’ve been doing on the site. If you appreciate what we do at Keeping It Reel, and you are able to give, we would be more than honored to accept your donation to help us continue doing what we love… seeing and talking about movies!

I have included a donation link on this post, but a permanent link will be placed on the homepage side bar.  Remember that any amount, large or small, is greatly appreciated.

Again, THANK YOU to all of you, our readers, for making 2010 an amazing year for Keeping It Reel, and we hope that 2011 will be even better!
