While the selection may be slim for the week we say goodbye to 2012 and step into 2013, there are still a couple films worth checking out. The first one being Rian Johnson’s third feature “Looper” the mind-bending sci-fi thriller starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis and Emily Blunt, that will entertain, confuse and surprise you. The other is David Cronenberg’s latest, “Cosmopolis” which has Robert Pattinson being driven around New York City in a limo to get a haircut. If it was that simple, all the Twi-Hards would’ve eaten this one up. There’s more going on though, in this adaptation of Dan LeLillo’s novel which touches on a handful of obsessions related to power and possessions.
