Have there been any great movies yet this year? Mmmm, not great, but there have been some good or really good ones. Let’s see what’s coming out this month. It looks like March is bringing some highly-anticipated big-budget studio films that could be the first real box-office winners of 2013 (not that it counts for anything, but it should cause moviegoers to take notice). As expected with each month, we have some sequels, a prequel, some comedies (one that looks to be of the raunchy variety), a couple thrillers (in the action/adventure and sci-fi genres), some romantic dramas and Dreamworks is releasing the first big animated feature of the year.

I voted for The Host and From Up on Poppy Hill, but I also meant to check off The Place Beyond the Pines. So, those three for me. Honestly, I feel as though 2012 was such a good movie year that 2013 has a lot to live up to.
Oh, they’ll be some great movies this year. You just got to look for them.
