This Week in DVD & Bluray (07-20-10)
Among the lot of DVDs and Blurays releasing this week, there are several that have Keeping It Reel reviews, so we’ll be linking those so you can get extended descriptions and insight for those titles. One film that David & I both view as one of the top 5 films of 2010 (so far) is Bong Joon-Ho’s Korean masterpiece Mother. In addition to that, there are several wider-known films coming out as well: The Runaways, The Losers, and Cop Out. Whoa – Powell and Pressburger’s THE RED SHOES! Martin Scorseses’ favorite film, or the one he talks about the most anyway. This must be the recently restored version – it must look beautiful! I see it can be watched instantly on Netflix!
